COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update
To Our Valued Customers,
At VSR Industries, there is no higher priority than the safety and well-being of our customers and employees. As concerns about the potential spread of COVID-19 (the coronavirus) increase, we want to share some of the additional precautions we have taken. Both to prevent the potential spread of the virus, and to ensure the ongoing, safe manufacturing of products and services for our customers.
We have implemented rigorous safety and quality protocols across all of our facilities, including increased handwashing protocols and glove requirements, to ensure that our customers receive safe products. We are diligently monitoring and following guidance from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local and regional health agencies.
We are mandating multiple preventative measures:
- Reinforcement and training of frequent, thorough handwashing and respiratory As part of this effort, we have purchased extra cleaning supplies, including sanitizer to have on hand at all facilities.
- Additionally, we are implementing increased sanitation of hard work surfaces across all facilities, delivery trucks, forklifts and employee common areas – including the use of sanitizer wipes for common touch points such as time clocks, door handles, light switches, countertops, machinery, lunchrooms, restrooms, vending machines, cooler handles, and more – all in accordance with required
- We are beginning every meeting with a message on the importance of frequent and effective handwashing and sanitizing techniques, along with awareness of common touch
We maintain a stringent GMP program across all facilities that reinforce employee hygiene, sanitation and safety – including wearing non-latex gloves for job functions that involve product contact surfaces. Documented, mandatory training is already in place.
Employees, who exhibit symptoms or are ill, are not permitted to be in the workplace and must avoid contact with employees, equipment, and product surfaces.
We have temporarily restricted any visitor, customer or vendor representative, on-site visits to our facilities. Arrangements will be made to facilitate online meetings where visual product viewing is deemed necessary.
As the World Health Organization has stressed, the coronavirus can last up to three days on metal and plastic surfaces. At VSR Industries, we implemented, for each of our products, a multi-step disinfection process that includes an alcohol based disinfection on the inside and outside of all our products prior to being bagged, boxed, and/or placed on pallets. Each station and area has stringent checks and balances for continual sanitization of all our products.
Though the situation remains fluid, our highest priority remains consistent: to position your safety and confidence in us at the forefront of everything we do. We will continue to diligently monitor the guidance of international, national, regional, and local health agencies and apply rigorous safety and quality standards to ensure that you receive clean products.
